Riding Around The Dutch Countryside

I’m spending this week in Amsterdam. Today I rented a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy from Eaglerider Holland and decided to take a guided tour around the Dutch countryside. My guide turned out to be a very interesting gentleman who goes by the name of Harrie Kosses. He is a 65 year old Dutch Harley-Davidson veteran and rides his Street Glide like the wind while perpetually chewing on a cigar.

We rode for around seven hours around the rural plains of Holland and clocked 275 kms in all. Rural Holland is absolutely breathtaking. Horses, cows and sheep stopped grazing and looked up to see as we thundered along with our noisy machines. The air was pure and sweet. Since I was following Harrie, the smell of his cigar smoke only added to the natural ambiance. 😉
